AFCEA DC Names 2026-2027 Executive Board

Leadership team to foster continued collaboration among industry and government

Washington, D.C., July 7, 2026 — AFCEA Washington, DC (AFCEA DC) has announced its elected executive board for 2026-2027. Board members were carefully selected to uphold AFCEA values and to meet mission requirements through advancing information technology, communications, and electronics capabilities.

Theresa Pines, Federal Sales Director – DoW at Axonius Federal Systems will serve as President for the 2026-2027 term. RJ Welsh, Vice President of Programs at Red River was selected as Executive Vice President. Shaleen Braley, VP Program Management Office – Government Defense and Intelligence at Oracle will serve in the Senior Vice President role. 

AFCEA DC enables collaboration between military, government, industry, and academia through a variety of programs. The Chapter aims to align technology and strategy to meet mission requirements of the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Homeland Security in the National Capital Region.

“I am consistently impressed by the energy and passion of AFCEA DC members and I am excited to have this opportunity to channel that energy into our community,” said Pines. “I’m looking forward to working with the board to make this the most exciting and engaging AFCEA DC programming year yet, supporting the government community in meeting evolving missions.”
